Position: 5 x Internship Programme

Overview:
The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) is dedicated to contributing to skills development in the arts sector by offering graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in Arts Administration. We invite applications for our Internship Programme, which will run for six (6) months. Interns will be based at the NAC offices in Newtown, Johannesburg.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a four-year Arts degree.
  • Applicants should be between 21 and 35 years of age.
  • Applicants must be currently unemployed.
  • A qualification in Arts Administration is advantageous.
  • Successful candidates will be required to sign an Internship Agreement.

  • Maximum Project Funding Amount: The maximum project funding amount is R500,000, subject to the project’s merit and availability of funds.
  • Funding Application Frequency: The NAC opens for funding applications at least twice a year. Check our website for announcement dates.
  • Bursary Coverage: Bursaries may cover accommodation, depending on budget availability, with priority given to tuition fees.
  • Eligibility for Funding: Individuals, students, and organizations/groups can apply for funding, depending on their project and purpose.
