SALARY: R184 320 – R206 802 per annum
LOCATION: Jimmie Roos Special School, Dewetsdorp

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Child & Youth Care Certificate

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for learners.
• Foster positive relationships between learners and between learners and staff.
• Provide guidance, orientation for new learners, and emotional support.
• Manage the return and reintegration of absconded learners.
• Conduct learner searches when necessary and ensure adherence to daily schedules.
• Supervise learners during hostel activities, assemblies, inspections, and hygiene routines.
• Monitor dress code and participation in extra-mural activities.
• Maintain discipline and provide individual attention and motivation to learners.
• Organise and oversee weekend activities to keep learners engaged.
• Attend meetings, in-service training sessions, and accompany learners to hospitals, clinics, sports events, camps, church services, and cultural activities.
