Salary: R155 148 – R182 757 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer contribution to pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).


Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Code C driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Appropriate heavy-duty driving experience.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, after hours, on public holidays, and be available on standby when required.

Competencies (Knowledge & Skills):

  • Safe and responsible driving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport soiled and clean linen to and from health institutions efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with loading and offloading the truck.
  • Deliver clean linen accurately and on time.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and promptly report defects.
  • Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
  • Complete logbooks accurately.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, codes, and procedures.
  • Provide effective support to the Transport Officer.
