Skip Truck Driver – Job Opportunity

Position Summary:
Raw Earth Waste Management is looking for a dependable and skilled Skip Truck Driver to join our waste management and recycling operations. The role involves the safe and punctual delivery, collection, and emptying of skip bins at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Duties:

• Operate skip trucks safely, including loading and unloading skip bins.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Secure loads and ensure proper placement and handling of bins.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to schedule deliveries and collections.
• Adhere to assigned routes and timetables.
• Follow all road traffic, safety, and company regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and logbooks.
• Keep vehicles and work areas clean.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.

Requirements:

• Valid Code 10 (C) or Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PDP.
• At least 8 years’ driving experience (preferably in waste or recycling).
• Proven experience operating skip trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Physically fit to handle loading, securing, and moving bins.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to environmental regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Clear criminal record.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous waste management or recycling industry experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years’ driving experience (heavy vehicles).

Work Location: Primarily on the road.
