Job Purpose

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Store Driver for the Witbank branch. The role involves delivering goods to customers safely, efficiently, and professionally while maintaining Dis-Chem’s service and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric / Senior Certificate
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Own reliable transport
• Must be a South African citizen
• Willingness to work retail hours
• Clear criminal and credit record (MIE screening will apply)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers promptly, safely, and courteously.
• Prioritise and correctly handle fridge-line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs.
• Ensure efficient routing to and from customer locations and the Distribution Centre/Store.
• Return promptly after deliveries to maximise vehicle use.
• Prevent stock or vehicle damage by repacking correctly and taking accountability for any damages/losses.
• Handle fragile and hazardous products with care.
• Comply with Dis-Chem’s standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
• Process collections, store returns, and inter-branch transfers correctly.
• Ensure delivery documentation is completed and signed.
• Collect and process payments (EFT and cash).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and inspect for defects before, during, and after trips.
• Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns immediately.
• Follow all road traffic rules and take responsibility for traffic fines.
• Provide excellent customer service, report complaints, and maintain professional behaviour at all times.

• Knowledge of retail operations and administration
• Ability to solve problems and escalate when necessary
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to respond to customer queries promptly
