Minimum Requirements:
- Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject; OR a Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with relevant experience/competencies aligned to the Key Performance Areas of the role.
- Relevant experience in Revenue and/or Billing within a healthcare environment.
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence (essential).
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Clinicom and Billing Systems, BAS (Basic Accounting System), AR (Accounts Receivable) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
- Computer literacy (MS Office: Excel, Word, web-based medical aid programs).
- Knowledge and access to cashier functions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Case Manager.
- Assist with MediKredit EDI rejection reports.
- Allocate payments to patient accounts and follow up on outstanding/short payments.
- Daily monitoring and management of Disposals and Attendance on Clinicom.
- Handle receipt and depositing of state funds (physically and on BAS).
- Complete all HIS (Clinicom/AR) transactions.
