Salary: R228 321 per annum
Location: Lentegeur Hospital

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject; OR a Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with relevant experience/competencies aligned to the Key Performance Areas of the role.
  • Relevant experience in Revenue and/or Billing within a healthcare environment.
  • Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence (essential).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Clinicom and Billing Systems, BAS (Basic Accounting System), AR (Accounts Receivable) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
  • Computer literacy (MS Office: Excel, Word, web-based medical aid programs).
  • Knowledge and access to cashier functions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Case Manager.
  • Assist with MediKredit EDI rejection reports.
  • Allocate payments to patient accounts and follow up on outstanding/short payments.
  • Daily monitoring and management of Disposals and Attendance on Clinicom.
  • Handle receipt and depositing of state funds (physically and on BAS).
  • Complete all HIS (Clinicom/AR) transactions.
