Position Purpose

We are seeking two reliable Pickers to join our warehouse team in Edenvale. The successful candidates will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing items for delivery, maintaining stock integrity, and ensuring compliance with warehouse procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Picking Operations

• Pick items accurately according to invoices with speed and precision
• Deliver picked items to dispatch or designated delivery areas on time
• Adhere to cut-off times for order preparation
• Monitor and respond to emails every 30 minutes
• Handle specialized picking tasks (e.g., HPMPS) per guidelines
• Complete documentation for items sent to the technical department
• Record all picked invoices daily using the warehouse/logistics system
• Follow warehouse health, safety, and quality protocols
• Update picking schedules hourly to align with workflow demands

2. Stock Integrity & Reporting

• Report stock discrepancies, damages, or errors immediately
• Ensure only authorized stock exits the picking area
• Coordinate with inventory and receiving teams on stock movements
• Assist with stock audits when required

3. Teamwork & Communication

• Collaborate with warehouse colleagues to ensure smooth operations
• Inform supervisors promptly about delays or issues
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

4. Training & Development

• Participate in safety, systems, and process training sessions
• Engage in coaching, mentoring, and skill development
• Identify training needs and discuss with supervisors

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• 2–3 years’ experience as a Picker (essential)
• Knowledge of warehouse systems and best practices
• MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Must be immediately available
• Residing in Lombardy East, River Park, or Edenvale (preferred)
