ADMINISTRATION CLERK: SUPPORT
Garden Route District
Salary: R228 321 per annum
Location: Heidelberg Clinic, Hessequa Sub-district
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).
- Relevant administrative experience in reception.
- Experience in Patient Registration, Records Management, and Archiving policies.
- Knowledge and experience with Health Information Systems (PHCIS, Sinjani, Tier.Net/ETR, and Ideal Clinic data capturing).
- Inherent requirements:
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Willingness to rotate between Reception and Information Management departments.
- Willingness to provide relief at other facilities within the Hessequa Sub-district.
- Competencies:
- Knowledge of Registry, Reception Services, Medical Records, Disposal, and Record Management policies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Key Duties:
- Ensure implementation of Department of Health policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Manage Reception Services and Registry functions effectively and efficiently.
- Deliver quality client service and support.
- Oversee data management processes.
- Manage SCM functions and office equipment.

Salary: R228 321 per annum
Location: Groote Schuur Hospital, Observatory
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accountancy as a passed subject; OR Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with relevant experience/competencies aligned to the Key Performance Areas of the post.
- Experience: Relevant experience in a Fees-related environment, specifically with Clinicom Patient Administration.
- Inherent requirement: Willingness to rotate between departments based on operational needs.
- Competencies:
- Computer literacy (MS Outlook, MS Excel).
- Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum 18, UPFS, HIS, Clinicom, Billing, and Finance instructions.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- High level of confidentiality.
Key Duties:
- Perform Clinicom patient registration functions including attendances, disposals, appointment bookings, and patient transport arrangements on Healthnet, in line with PGWC Hospital Fees policies.
- Handle patient queries (verbal and written).
- Manage receipt and handling of public funds, including cash collection and banking of state money.
- Process charge entries, debiting invoices according to UPFS and PGWC billing procedures, including ICD10 coding.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the department.
- Carry out reception and related tasks as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
