Overview
The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage and support to road users across South Africa, focusing on rehabilitation and compensation for those affected by motor vehicle accidents. RAF promotes road safety and a caring approach to service. This Administrator/Data Capturer role will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the branch, working closely with the Officer, Senior Officer, and Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Administration
-Maintain updated documentation for departmental business activities.
-Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and internal standards.
-Support adherence to internal control measures and organizational goals.
2. Office Coordination
-Follow up on outstanding issues and ensure timely response to all requests.
-Manage department stationery supplies.
-Validate and verify submitted documents for accurate data capturing and further processing.
-Keep all relevant systems and registers up-to-date, checking for duplicate requests or documents.
-Allocate reference numbers and manage document tracking across different systems.
-Allocate tasks to team members as required.
-Prepare and distribute letters to stakeholders.
3. Meeting Support
-Schedule and confirm meetings, manage team diaries, and organize appointments with internal and external stakeholders.
-Document meeting details and manage follow-ups on outstanding matters.
4. Document and Records Management
-Oversee records management in line with RAF’s filing plan.
-Ensure the filing system is consistently up-to-date and accessible.
-Retrieve information upon request, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation handling.
-Record data on the computer system, file documents appropriately, and assign file numbers.
Qualifications and Experience
-Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
-Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Administrative field or similar environment (experience in the medical field is an advantage).
