Role Purpose
Barloworld Equipment is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for individuals to gain practical training and theoretical knowledge in component repair and specialist skills. Successful candidates will undergo structured learning, workplace experience, and skills assessments to qualify as component specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all theoretical learning, practical training, and skills assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including logbooks, skills records, and training reports.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Meet performance targets (KPIs and balanced scorecard).
- Take responsibility for self-management, performance, and accurate task reporting.
- Train to qualify as a components operator, specialising in component repair.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / N3 with Pure Mathematics.
- Grade 12 / N3 with English (minimum 50% pass).
- N3/N4 in a relevant trade theory (Motor, Diesel, or Electrical) – advantageous.
- Technician for the World (T4W) certificate – advantageous.
- Computer literacy – advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and their uses.
- Previous workshop or laboratory experience with hand tools – advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle components and parts.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
