Purpose of the Role:
Shoprite Group is looking for three dedicated and customer-focused Soup Truck Drivers. The role involves operating soup trucks safely, ensuring timely deliveries, providing excellent service to the community, and maintaining vehicle and inventory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving & Delivery: Safely operate the soup truck, follow scheduled routes, and ensure food safety regulations are met during transport.
• Customer Service: Engage positively with customers, share product information, and resolve inquiries professionally.
• Truck Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report issues promptly.
• Inventory Support: Assist with loading/unloading supplies, maintain accurate records, and report discrepancies.
• Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
• 1–3 years’ driving experience (preferably in food delivery or food service).
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a clean record (PDP is advantageous).
• Strong driving knowledge of local routes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and inventory.
• Physical fitness to lift heavy items and work on your feet for long periods.
• Willingness to work weekends and in varying weather conditions.
