DEPARTMENT OF COOPERATIVE GOVERNANCE

The Department of Cooperative Governance envisions a well-coordinated government system, where National, Provincial, and Local spheres work together to achieve sustainable development and effective service delivery. To support this, the Department is committed to investing in human capital, strengthening integrated technical capacity, and promoting representivity through recruitment.   • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and other documents before interviews.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted candidates may undergo technical assessments, follow-up engagements, or second-round interviews to evaluate relevant job competencies.
  • Following this, candidates may be required to complete a generic managerial competency assessment in line with DPSA directives, focusing on:
    • Core Competencies: Strategic leadership, people management, programme/project management, change management, financial management.
    • Process Competencies: Knowledge management, service delivery innovation, advanced problem-solving, client orientation, customer focus, and advanced written/verbal communication.

Additional Information

  • Pre-employment screening will include criminal, credit, and citizenship checks, as well as verification of qualifications.
  • Successful candidates will serve a 12-month probation and must sign a performance agreement.
