Introduction

Medilogistics, a division of Medipost Pharmacy, is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Checker Grade 1 to join their team in Gezina. The successful candidate will assist in quality assurance (QA) of consolidated regional bags and report directly to the Logistics Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort parcels from the conveyor belt and load them into the correct bins.
• Scan all freight received for various branches using the Freight Ware System.
• Pack parcels into console bags and ensure correct labelling according to destination hubs.
• Sort “Same Day” and oncology parcels into designated bins.
• Receive, bin, and manage Special Medications accurately.
• Verify that manifests correspond with the actual number of parcels in each bin.
• Hand over parcels and manifests to couriers.
• Record all freight information on the pre-alert sheet.
• Receive, debrief, and forward returned parcels to the stock returns department.
• Prioritize and dispatch SDX parcels to the Gezina Hub.
• Ensure all freight handling is efficient and compliant with internal standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience.
  • Computer literacy (essential).
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good listening and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a heavy workload.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and query resolution abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • No criminal record.
