About the Role

West Coast Personnel is seeking a reliable and organized Stores Assistant / Delivery Driver to support store operations and logistics. The successful candidate will manage stock control, process documentation, and ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Stores Duties

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock from suppliers.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer and internal orders accurately.
• Process all relevant documentation, including Delivery Notes (DNs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), invoices, and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, manage bin locations, and assist with cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
• Support technicians, engineers, and customers with spare parts and related requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in store and reception areas.

Delivery Duties

• Operate company vehicles safely and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Deliver and collect goods, equipment, and documents as required.
• Obtain and submit Proof of Delivery (POD) after each delivery.
• Handle all goods carefully and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and serviced regularly.
• Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Health & Safety

• Follow all company and road safety policies and procedures.
• Use proper manual handling techniques.
• Comply with PPE and safety standards at all times.

Performance Expectations

• Be punctual and report for duty by 07h30 daily.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks before departure.
• Submit PODs immediately after each delivery.
• Report any delays, damages, or issues promptly.
• Keep both the store and vehicle neat and organized.
• Complete all deliveries and stock-related tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
