About the Role

West Coast Personnel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Stores Assistant / Delivery Driver to support store operations and logistics. The successful candidate will handle stock control, process documentation, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of goods to customers and job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Stores Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock from suppliers.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer and internal orders.
• Process all relevant documentation, including Delivery Notes (DNs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), invoices, and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, manage bin locations, and assist with cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
• Provide support to technicians, engineers, and customers with spare parts and inventory needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization in store and reception areas.

Delivery Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Deliver and collect goods, documents, and equipment as required.
• Obtain and submit Proof of Delivery (POD) promptly after each delivery.
• Handle goods carefully and ensure vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Health & Safety

• Comply with all company and road safety policies.
• Follow proper manual handling techniques.
• Always adhere to PPE and safety standards.

Performance Expectations

• Arrive punctually and clock in by 07h30 each day.
• Conduct vehicle checks before every trip.
• Report any delivery delays or vehicle issues immediately.
• Keep the store and vehicle clean and organized.
• Complete all deliveries and stock-related tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Deliver professional, reliable service in both store and delivery operations.
