Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Administrator to oversee the administrative and financial operations of a busy engineering workshop in Boksburg.
The ideal candidate will serve as the administrative backbone of the business, providing essential support to the technical team and managing day-to-day office and accounting functions to ensure smooth operations.

Blending traditional engineering expertise with modern innovation, the workshop supports a dedicated team of over 42 staff members, successfully completing more than 30,000 projects annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational Management
- Oversee general office operations, including supplies, correspondence, and maintaining efficient filing systems (both physical and digital).
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director, Sales Managers, and technical teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring professional communication and prompt query resolution.
- Assist with project documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping for hydraulic repairs, manufacturing projects, and earthmoving services.
- Coordinate on-site service logistics, supporting the timely deployment of technicians for hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting.
Accounting & Financial Administration
- Manage the invoicing process for core services including hydraulic repairs, manufacturing, bucket repairs, and service exchange programs.
- Oversee accounts receivable, track client payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Process supplier invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy in purchasing and material management.
- Conduct basic bank and ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation aligned with the company’s operational scale.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Office Manager, Administrator, or Accounting Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, management, and technical staff.
Education Level:
- Certificate qualification (minimum requirement).
