Position: Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management (Stores)
Salary: R228,321 per annum
Location: Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley


Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting, or
    • Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with extensive experience relevant to the Key Performance Areas of the post.
  • Experience:
    • Relevant experience in stores or warehouse operations.
  • Inherent Requirements:
    • Willingness to rotate within the Supply Chain Management Section.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Instructions, and Accounting Officer Systems.
    • Understanding of inventory and warehouse management practices.
    • Computer literacy (MS Excel and MS Word).
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Practical experience with warehousing/logistics systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, issue, and follow up on inventory items with suppliers.
  • Execute warehouse processes efficiently and in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Capture documentation accurately on the Inventory/Supply Chain system and maintain proper filing.
  • Ensure compliance with all Supply Chain Management and Stores regulations.
  • Handle telephonic and written enquiries from suppliers and end users.
  • Safeguard stock, monitor stock levels, and identify slow-moving items for reporting.
  • Provide effective administrative support to the supervisor.
