Introduction
The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Institutional Planning and Governance Division is seeking 34 dedicated and experienced Cleaners (Peromnes Grade 16) to join the Campus Facilities Management Services team.

Job Description
The successful candidates will perform a range of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, hygienic, and functional university environment. The role involves physical work and includes cleaning both inside and outside buildings and other University facilities.

Key duties include:

• General cleaning of offices, kitchens, ablution facilities, laboratories, corridors, and venues
• Removing refuse
• Operating basic cleaning machinery
• Moving furniture
• Cleaning windows
• Deep cleaning and floor maintenance

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 8
• At least 1 year’s experience in the cleaning industry
• Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment
• Shortlisted applicants may undergo a skills test
