Requirements:

Duties:

  • Provide registry counter services (receive, register, sort, and file documents for easy retrieval).
  • Handle internal and external enquiries.
  • Submit WP1002 forms to the GEPF satellite office.
  • Retrieve files for auditors within SLA timeframes.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and track files.
  • Transfer and collect files between departments.
  • Maintain effective filing and records management (open, close, store files numerically).
  • Prepare documents for archiving or disposal in line with the National Archives Act.
  • Maintain records of archived and transferred files.
  • Use MS Office tools to compile monthly reports.
  • Make copies, scan, and digitise documents.

Salary: R163 680 per annum (plus benefits)
Location: Johannesburg

Requirements:

  • Grade 10.
  • PSIRA Grade C training from a registered and recognised training centre.
  • Valid PSIRA Grade C certificate.
  • No experience required.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, security procedures, access control, and emergency protocols.
  • Understanding of equipment control, movement procedures, and the Protection of Information Act.

  • Communication, interpersonal, computer literacy, problem-solving, report writing.
  • Leadership, planning, organising, and analytical abilities.

Duties:

  • Perform access control duties (confirm appointments, direct visitors, manage admission registers, issue access cards).
  • Escort visitors when required.
  • Operate security screening equipment such as X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
  • Conduct building and premises patrols (check locks, water leaks, fire hazards, faulty electricity points, suspicious items).
  • Apply emergency procedures during incidents such as bomb threats or riots.
  • Monitor alarm systems and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure that equipment, documents, and stores do not enter or leave the premises without authorization.
  • Inspect vehicles entering and exiting and report missing/stolen assets.
  • Handle classified documents appropriately at entry points.
  • Operate control room equipment and monitor CCTV footage.
  • Record incidents in the occurrence book and report security breaches.
  • Secure offices and access points during lockup.
