🧹 Cleaner (3 Positions) – Join the Khayelitsha Health Team!
Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services
Salary: R138 486 per annum
Locations:
- Michael Mapongwana CDC (2 Posts)
- Khayelitsha Community Health Centre (1 Post)
Sub-structure: Khayelitsha Eastern
📌 Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Experience: Prior cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
🛠 Inherent Job Requirements:
- Physically able to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
🧠 Key Competencies:
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Reliable, accountable, and responsible.
- Able to manage pressure and resolve conflict calmly.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and safe practices.
🧽 Duties & Responsibilities:
- General cleaning (dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing).
- Maintaining cleaning equipment.
- Waste management and sorting of soiled linen.
- Proper use of cleaning agents and stock management.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment.
- Assist with unpacking stock and perform relief duties as needed.
