DRIVER (LIGHT DUTY VEHICLE)
Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services
SALARY: R138 486 per annum
LOCATION: Helderberg Hospital

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience: Relevant driving experience in a hospital environment.
• Essential: A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence with PDP.
• Must be willing to work standby and overtime as required.
• Good knowledge of the Peninsula road network.
• Must have access to a secure lock-up garage at home or behind locked gates.
• Competencies (knowledge/skills):
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Transport Handbook 1 of 2009.

DUTIES:

• Perform after-hours standby duties, including weekends.
• Complete vehicle log sheets accurately.
• Assist the Transport Officer with basic administrative and general tasks.
• Conduct basic vehicle maintenance (cleaning, reporting defects, arranging services and repairs).
• Transport goods, personnel, and services as required.
