Mandatory Application Instructions

1. Submission Deadline & Format

  • Closing Date: 21 November 2025 at 16:00.
  • Non-Acceptable Submissions: Late applications, faxed copies, or photostat copies of application documents will not be considered and will result in disqualification.

2. Initial Application Requirements

Your initial submission must include:

  • Form Z83 (Mandatory): Use the prescribed, correct Z83 employment application form (effective 01 January 2021). Using an incorrect form will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Original Signature: The Z83 form must be originally signed and dated.
  • Detailed CV Only: Include a comprehensive CV detailing your training, qualifications, experience, knowledge, and competencies.

Crucial Note: Do not submit certified copies of qualifications or other supporting documents at this stage.

3. Guidelines for Multiple Applications

  • Separate Submissions: If you are applying for more than one post, you must submit a separate Z83 form and detailed CV for each position.
  • Incorrect Submission: If multiple posts are listed on a single Z83 form, only the first post indicated will be considered.

4. Post-Shortlisting Process

  • Required Documents: Only shortlisted candidates must submit certified copies of qualifications and related documents (not older than six months) on or before the day of the interview.
  • Assessments: Shortlisted candidates will undergo two pre-entry assessments (practical and ethical) to assess suitability.
  • Background Checks: Successful candidates will be subject to Personnel Suitability Checks (criminal record, citizenship, financial/asset checks, qualification/employment verification) and security clearance.
  • Appointment: The final level of appointment depends on your qualifications, relevant experience, and research output.
  • Probation: Successful candidates will serve a twelve (12) month probation period.

5. Feedback and Communication

  • Due to the anticipated volume of applications, receipt of applications will not be acknowledged.
  • Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only.
  • If you do not receive any confirmation or feedback within three (3) months after the closing date, please assume your application was unsuccessful.
