Are you passionate about data, detail-oriented, and ready to play a vital role in healthcare information systems? Groote Schuur Hospital is looking for a skilled and motivated Administration Clerk to support our Information Management Unit (IMU) in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of hospital data.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience: Relevant experience in information management and health information systems
Key Competencies and Skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Excellent data management and analytical abilities
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Experience with hospital-based systems (e.g., Clinicom, Sinjani)
- Knowledge of medical coding and healthcare compliance
- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving
- Record keeping and filing proficiency
- Experience in compiling reports for internal and provincial use
Core Responsibilities
- Capture theatre procedures on Clinicom
- Collect and enter clinical data; maintain various databases
- Handle monthly data reports on the Sinjani Head Office System
- Facilitate sign-off processes for reports and submit to management
- Maintain an efficient informatics filing system and reception area
- Assist with audit preparations and data submissions to Provincial Office
- Support daily distribution of operational reports
- Liaise with management to address reporting queries and tasks
