Logistics / Warehouse Position
Quality Storeman / Administrator – Full-Time

Salary: R18,000 – R25,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)

An established Hydraulics and Engineering company is looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Quality Storeman / Administrator to oversee stock control, asset management, and safety documentation. This dual-purpose role is essential in ensuring efficient operations within both workshop and field environments.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Maintain optimal stock levels for workshop consumables, including hydraulic parts and general supplies.
  • Process purchase orders timeously to prevent shortages.
  • Accurately record all stock received and issued, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Keep detailed records of stock movement, receipts, and inventory counts.

Fleet & Asset Administration

  • Manage all fleet documentation, including service histories, condition reports, and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate the issuing and return of vehicles, ensuring accurate usage records.
  • Monitor and audit fuel usage to identify irregularities and manage costs.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness.

Safety & Compliance Administration

  • Maintain and control the PPE inventory.
  • Issue PPE and keep accurate records of allocations.
  • Support the upkeep of health and safety administrative documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Storeman, Stock Controller, or Administrator in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical setting.
  • Technical understanding of industrial consumables (hydraulics experience is an advantage).
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills, with proficiency in Excel and inventory systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Preferably located in or familiar with the East Rand area.
