Specialized Commercial Crime Unit (Re-advert)

SALARY: R228 321 per annum (Level 05), excluding benefits
LOCATION: Mpumalanga (Nelspruit)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven ability to work independently, professionally, and with integrity.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle tasks responsibly.

DUTIES:

  • Register and scan incoming dockets.
  • Capture data on the Electronic Case Register (ECR).
  • Update court information daily.
  • Provide electronic dockets to the Defence upon Prosecutor request.
  • Liaise with Prosecutors on matters being processed.
  • Verify court proceedings and record updates for capturing.
  • Follow up with Prosecutors to reconcile information in Access.
  • Generate statistical reports from ECR, Access, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Produce monthly reports for Supervisors and the National Office.
  • Update the electronic case register with new information as required.
  • Assist with case flow queries from Prosecutors and SAPS.
  • Manage case administration and document handling.
  • Prepare, maintain, and release files or documents when required.
  • Maintain the e-disclosure platform.
  • Support Prosecutors with caseload administration.

  • A valid driver’s license is required where applicable.
  • All shortlisted candidates, including SMS applicants, will undergo two pre-entry assessments: a practical exercise and an integrity/ethics assessment.
  • SMS posts will include a technical assessment, followed by a competency-based managerial assessment as prescribed by the DPSA.

  • The updated Z83 form (effective 1 January 2021) must be used. Applications submitted with the old Z83 form will not be accepted.
  • The NPA does not cover resettlement costs.
  • All individuals appointed to the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption will be subject to lifestyle audits and integrity vetting.
