Overview
Afrirent Holdings is seeking a General Worker to join our Selby Depot team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic environments across designated areas, while ensuring adherence to Afrirent’s occupational health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Kitchen Support

• Maintain clean and hygienic housekeeping at all times.
• Prepare beverages for executives and visitors.
• Assist with catering needs and arrange meeting room setups.
• Refill kitchen supplies and monitor stock levels.
• Ensure adequate levels of cleaning materials, groceries, and consumables.

Cleaning Duties

• Clean assigned areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Clear common areas of obstacles to maintain safety.
• Conduct routine checks and carry out basic maintenance tasks.
• Perform thorough deep-cleaning as required.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Follow Afrirent’s hygiene protocols and OHS guidelines.
• Report hazards or safety concerns promptly.
• Identify and report any maintenance needs or deficiencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 10.
• 0–6 months of experience in cleaning or housekeeping.
• Understanding of cleaning materials, housekeeping standards, and safety practices.
• Strong communication, time-management, and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
