Position Overview
Guud Mobiles is looking for a dependable, skilled, and tech-proficient Driver (Operator) to manage and operate our mobile clinic units. The ideal candidate will live in or near Johannesburg, possess a valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s licence with a PrDP, and have experience operating heavy vehicles. This role also requires confidence in using digital tools to support healthcare delivery in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Vehicle Management
- Safely operate mobile clinic vehicles in line with South African traffic regulations
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
- Keep the vehicle clean and handle basic maintenance
- Report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly
Clinic Setup & On-Site Logistics
- Arrive on schedule at assigned locations and assist with full clinic setup
- Position the vehicle correctly
- Set up awnings, signage, and equipment
- Ensure power, water, and sanitation systems are functioning
- Work with healthcare staff to run efficient clinic operations
- Manage on-site logistics including patient flow and queue coordination
Technology & Software
- Use Guud Mobiles digital tools for:
- Project planning and scheduling
- On-site patient registration and enrollment
- Queue management outside the clinic
- Troubleshoot basic tech issues and report when necessary
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, fuel, and mileage
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Assist with daily operational reports and incident documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 Driver’s Licence + PrDP
- Minimum 3 years’ experience driving heavy vehicles
- Residing in JHB, Gauteng
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital apps
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Willing to travel and work in rural or remote areas
