Position Overview
Unique Personnel is seeking a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive Storeman to manage the day-to-day operations of the storeroom. The ideal candidate will have strong stock management experience, excellent data-capturing accuracy, and solid Syspro knowledge. This position includes supervising store staff, overseeing stock levels, managing the receipt and issuing of materials, and maintaining a clean, orderly stores environment. Close collaboration with the Head Buyer is essential to ensure effective procurement and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the storeroom
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure the store is well-organised
- Supervise storeroom personnel and provide necessary support
- Receive all deliveries and verify quantity and quality of goods
- Accurately capture deliveries in Syspro and complete all required documentation
- Conduct checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Issue stock and consumables according to company procedures and authorisations
- Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient availability of items
- Report stock shortages, concerns, or purchasing needs to the Head Buyer
- Assist with stock counts, reconciliations, and overall inventory control
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and audit standards
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Storeman or in a similar inventory/stores role
- Syspro experience is essential
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data capturing
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to supervise and manage staff effectively
- Strong understanding of stock control and inventory processes
- Good communication and reporting abilities
- Able to work independently and show initiative
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to high-quality standards
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required
