GEW Technologies is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Stores Clerk to manage the accurate receiving, storage, issuing, and documentation of materials in our operational environment. This role supports the complete material-handling process—from checking incoming goods and issuing stock to conducting cycle counts and maintaining audit-ready records.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and is dedicated to accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience

- Grade 12 (Matric) required.
- A certificate or qualification in stock control is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling materials or components in a store/warehouse environment.
- Experience in an electronic manufacturing or technical setting is highly beneficial.
Technical Skills Needed
- Computer literacy (MS Office); experience with Q-Muzik or MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of raw materials, stock control, quality control, and material cost tracking.
- Ability to accurately pick orders based on inventory and job cards.
- Knowledge of proper material-handling methods, including ESD, FIFO, ROHS & REACH.
- High accuracy in stock counting, verification, and identification.
- Experience with labelling, packing, bin allocation, and storage procedures.
- Understanding of traceability, audit documentation, and inventory compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Handling & Scheduling
- Receive and verify goods against GRNs for correctness and quantity.
- Allocate items to correct stock locations, requisitions, and work orders.
- Accurately record stock movements in the MRP system.
- Perform binning and physical placement of stock according to procedures.
- Label and store materials in line with company standards.
- Ensure efficient receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods.
- Comply with all relevant stock-keeping rules (MRP, lot control, ESD, ROHS, REACH, FIFO).
2. Cost & Inventory Control
- Prevent stock losses, damage, and unnecessary scrapping.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Capture all stock movement transactions in real time.
- Manage the flow of materials through the storage environment.
- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to improved stock accuracy and reduced waste.
3. Compliance & Documentation
- File GRNs and inventory documents for traceability and audits.
- Ensure compliance with ROHS, REACH, lot control, and issuing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and compliant stores area.
4. General & Safety Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager.
- Record serial numbers accurately for traceability.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and disciplinary codes.
- Provide timely, accurate feedback to supervisors.
- Report any OHS, ISO, or ESD risks or non-compliance immediately.
