Job Overview
Nancefield Paints is looking for a motivated and customer-focused General Worker to join its Benoni branch. This is a customer-facing role suited to someone who is friendly, efficient and able to deliver excellent service while supporting counter sales and daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist walk-in customers with product information and advice
  • Process sales accurately using the Omni Point of Sale system
  • Issue invoices and receipts and complete daily cash-up procedures
  • Assist account customers with queries and explain statements clearly
  • Prepare quotations, process orders and ensure timely follow-ups
  • Monitor stock availability and liaise with dispatch when required
  • Deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times
  • Support sales targets by meeting counter sales expectations
  • Assist the store supervisor with shop cleaning and stock packing

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong customer service skills with a positive and approachable attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy trading periods
  • Good problem-solving and quick-thinking abilities
  • Understanding of invoicing, receipts and account customer processes
  • Experience with daily cash-ups and balancing
  • Computer literacy; experience with Omni POS is an advantage
  • Good communication, organisational and teamwork skills

Requirements

  • Previous experience in counter sales, customer service or invoicing
  • Familiarity with Omni POS or similar systems preferred
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • High level of accuracy and responsibility when handling cash
  • Valid licence required

Additional Information

  • Work location: On-site in Benoni
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Benoni before starting is preferred
