Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable and professional Store Driver for its Panorama branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers efficiently, safely, and with excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness and ability to work retail hours and shifts
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers promptly, safely, and courteously
- Ensure correct items are delivered to the correct customers within set timeframes
- Prioritise fridge-line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs
- Select the most efficient delivery routes and return promptly to the store after deliveries
- Repack the vehicle after deliveries to prevent damage to stock or the vehicle
- Take full accountability for losses or damages during the delivery process
- Handle fragile and hazardous items with care
- Follow dispatch and delivery instructions from management
- Ensure all delivery, collection, returns, and inter-branch documentation is accurate, signed, and properly recorded
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and vehicle logbooks
- Process EFT and cash payments where required
- Ensure the vehicle is never left unattended during deliveries
- Keep the vehicle clean, washed, and in safe operating condition
- Inspect the vehicle before, during, and after trips and report any defects
- Report all accidents, incidents, and traffic-related issues
- Adhere strictly to the National Road Traffic Act and company vehicle policies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional service
- Communicate customer feedback, complaints, and compliments to management
