Location: Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
Job Overview
South African National Parks has a Storeman position available at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park within the Technical Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Maintenance Officer.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Standard 10) / NQF Level 4, or an N3 certificate in Inventory Management, Warehousing Management, or Stock Control
- At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM), inventory, stock control, or warehouse management (3 years’ experience will be an added advantage)
- Computer literacy with practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence (Code EC will be an advantage)
- Sound understanding of SCM processes (advantageous)
- First Aid and Occupational Health & Safety experience (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Procure goods and materials in line with prescribed Standard Operating Procedures
- Receive, record, and store goods and stock
- Assist with stock, material, and spare parts management
- Support distribution of stock to all camps
- Ensure proper packing and storage of received items
- Participate in stock takes and asset control
- Maintain accurate filing, tracking, and monitoring of procurements
- Manage tool stores, including issuing and receiving of tools
- Maintain cleanliness of designated work areas in accordance with procedures
- Perform ad hoc duties as instructed by the Supervisor
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
Remuneration
The remuneration package includes a basic salary aligned with Paterson Grade B1, as well as applicable allowances and benefits in accordance with the SANParks HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Service.
