Role Purpose
The Servicing Administrator Intern will support the administration of transfer processes, specifically Section 14 and Section 50 transfers, from Discovery’s platform to other insurers and institutions, in line with legislative requirements and service level agreements.
Key Objectives
- Process Section 14 and Section 50 transfers within agreed SLAs and in compliance with legislation
- Handle telephonic and email enquiries from policyholders, financial advisers, franchises, and external insurers
Key Responsibilities
- Processing transfers out (Section 14 and Section 50) from Discovery’s platform
- Requesting, tracking, and following up on outstanding documentation with clients, advisers, franchises, and external companies
- Responding to queries via email and inbound calls, with potential outbound calls
- Managing escalations and ensuring timely resolution of service issues
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with financial advisers and internal and external stakeholders
- Monitoring task lists to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements
- Assisting with system testing and implementation initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with quality and service standards at all times

Education & Experience
- Matric qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP)
- Knowledge of the Long-Term Insurance Act and Pension Funds Act, particularly Sections 14 and 50
- Understanding of retirement products
- Experience in LISP administration
