Salary: R16 000 – R18 000 per month (gross) + petrol at SARS rate (R4.76 per km)

Role Overview

A family based in Bryanston is seeking a dedicated and experienced Au Pair to care for their two sons, aged 7 and 5 years. The role requires flexibility, energy, and a genuine passion for working with children in a structured yet dynamic household environment.


Working Hours

  • Availability required for 45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
  • Core hours (school term):
    • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 08:00 and 11:00 – 18:00
  • Weekend hours may be requested with prior arrangement
  • School holidays: Full-day care, 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist children with morning routines and preparation for school
  • Transport children to and from school and extra-mural activities
  • Supervise and assist with homework
  • Engage children in age-appropriate, stimulating play and activities
  • Assist with bath time routines
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Provide occasional babysitting and weekend support, including attendance at birthday parties (by prior arrangement)
  • Remain available throughout the day to accommodate the needs of two active children

Candidate Requirements

  • Female candidate with 3–5 years of childcare experience
  • Minimum of 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience within the last 2 years (excluding care for friends or family)
  • Own reliable vehicle and at least 18 months driving experience
  • At least two contactable childcare references
  • Clear criminal record
  • Passion for working with children
  • Matric qualification
  • Valid South African ID
