Position Overview
The Driver/Cleaner will serve as the company’s representative outside the office, responsible for transporting cleaning teams and equipment to and from client sites. The role also includes assisting with equipment handling and deep-cleaning tasks, while ensuring punctuality, safety, and professional conduct at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Logistics

• Transport cleaning staff to and from job sites daily
• Deliver cleaning materials, consumables, and machinery
• Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage, and mileage records

Vehicle Care & Safety

• Perform daily vehicle checks (tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water)
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, roadworthy, and serviced on time
• Report mechanical issues immediately
• Comply with all road traffic laws and company driving policies

Support to Cleaning Teams

• Assist with loading and offloading equipment
• Arrange equipment securely to prevent damage
• Support deep-cleaning and on-site tasks when required

Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally at client premises
• Communicate clearly and courteously with clients and colleagues
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African Driver’s Licence Code 8/B (Code 10/C1 advantageous)
• Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience
• No criminal record; police clearance required
• Cleaning experience
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Neat, professional, and presentable appearance
• Good customer service, organisational, and people skills
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Sales background advantageous
• Residing in or around Riversands preferred

• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 15–25 kg
• Capable of loading/unloading cleaning equipment and materials
• Physically fit for long driving hours and multiple trips

Compliance

• Willingness to undergo alcohol and drug testing
• Adherence to all company policies and safety procedures

Performance Indicators

• On-time arrivals and departures
• Proper maintenance of company vehicle
• Clean driving record (no accidents or fines)
• Positive feedback from clients and staff
• Reliability during peak periods

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 18:00
• Saturday: 07:30 – 17:00
• Overtime may be required
