About the Role
Moove is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Driver Intern to support fleet operations by assisting with vehicle movements and managing the vehicle warehouse. This role is ideal for individuals with driving experience who want hands-on exposure to fleet management and vehicle inventory processes in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport vehicles between company sites, dealerships, service centres, and the vehicle warehouse
- Perform basic vehicle inspections, including fuel levels, tyre pressure, and cleanliness, before and after vehicle movement
- Assist in organising and maintaining the vehicle warehouse in line with company procedures
- Record and track vehicle movements, including check-in/check-out logs and status updates
- Support inventory counts and routine vehicle status checks
- Report any damages, defects, or irregularities to the supervisor promptly
- Ensure secure handling and storage of vehicle keys and documentation
- Comply with South African road regulations and company policies
- Assist with additional operational or administrative tasks when required
Requirements
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code B/EB or higher preferred)
- At least one year of driving experience (including internships, part-time, or volunteer work)
- Knowledge of vehicle handling and basic vehicle checks
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills (additional South African languages are advantageous)
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory tracking
- Ability to provide references related to driving experience
Reporting Line
The Driver Intern will report directly to the CIM Supervisor and work closely with the Fleet Department team.
