Requirements
- Grade ABET/AET or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to read and write
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and basic gardening principles
- Ability to operate basic gardening tools and equipment
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Demonstrates commitment, punctuality, productivity, and good work ethic
- Displays professional behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues
Duties
- Perform general assistance and support duties
- Maintain buildings, premises, and surrounding areas
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safekeeping of gardening tools and equipment
- Move furniture and equipment as required
- Remove refuse, waste, and empty containers
- Assist with receiving and handling stock and goods
- Report damaged or lost equipment
- Load and offload goods and materials
- Clean and maintain government vehicles
