🚗 Driver (Light Duty Vehicle) – Transport Services

📍 Location: Stikland Hospital
💰 Salary: R138 486 per annum
🧾 Job Purpose
To provide reliable transport services for patients, staff, equipment, and official documents while ensuring vehicles are safely operated and properly maintained within the hospital environment.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
🚘 Experience
- Appropriate driving experience
- Experience in patient transportation will be an advantage
⚠️ Inherent Job Requirements
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting heavy objects
- Willingness to work overtime when required
🧠 Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Transport Circular No. 4 of 2000 and U2 33-2009
- Ability to work independently
- Strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Transport official passengers, patients, and equipment
- Collect and deliver mail, parcels, and official documents
- Ensure accurate completion of vehicle logbooks
- Keep vehicles clean and well maintained
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report defects promptly
- Perform administrative and relief duties when required
