De Beers Group is offering 10 Engineering Learnership opportunities at the Venetia Mine in Musina. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain technical training, workplace experience, and an artisan qualification while working on one of South Africa’s biggest underground mining projects.
Successful candidates will complete a structured learnership programme leading to a QCTO Occupational Qualification registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).
🔹 Available Learnership Trades
Applicants can apply for the following engineering trades:
- Boilermaker
- Instrument Mechanician
- Electrician
- Fitter and Turner
- Diesel Mechanic
- Transportation Electrician (Auto Electrician)
- Rigger
📌 Posts Available:
- 9 Learnerships – Unemployed youth from Blouberg and Musina Municipalities
- 1 Learnership – Current Venetia employees
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:
✔ Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy)
- Physical Science
- English
- Minimum 40% pass in all subjects
OR
✔ N2 Qualification with 4 subjects relevant to the trade
OR
✔ NCV Level 3 with at least 40% in Mathematics and relevant subjects
⚙️ Additional Requirements
Candidates must:
- Be willing to travel to a training centre outside Limpopo (company transport provided)
- Pass a Mine Medical Fitness Test (Red Ticket)
- Pass SAPS criminal record checks
- Pass technical and psychometric assessments
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
