🔧 About the Role
Lion Smelter is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Driver (Stores) to support daily operations at their Steelpoort plant. This role is ideal for someone experienced in both driving and handling materials within a heavy industrial environment.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Valid Code C Driver’s License
- PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Forklift License
💼 Experience Required
- At least 2 years’ experience as a driver (Truck & LDV)
- Experience in a heavy industry environment (smelting/furnace experience is an advantage)
- Good communication skills
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift, tractor, LDV, and 10-ton truck
- Collect and deliver stores and operational supplies
- Load and offload deliveries safely
- Escort deliveries within the plant
- Support stores and operations teams when needed
- Assist with stock counts and stock rotation
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards
- Handle diesel receiving and issuing
- Work overtime when required
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
