Step Into the Action – Support Safe, Precision Blasting Operations!
Are you hands-on, safety-focused, and ready to work in one of South Africa’s vital mining regions? AECI Mining is looking for seven (7) dynamic Operations Assistants to join our high-performing Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) teams in Emalahleni.
You’ll support the MMU Controller and play a vital role in explosive handling, bench preparation, truck cleanliness, and other critical blasting tasks – all while upholding AECI’s world-class safety and operational standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist the MMU Controller with operating the MMU (Blend Truck) for on-site explosive delivery
- Support regular inspections and preventative maintenance on MMUs and fixed plant
- Perform blasting support tasks: hole measuring, stemming, guarding, cleaning, etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of trucks, wash bays, and depot areas
- Load and unload explosive products and accessories
- Adhere strictly to SABS, OTIF, and legal requirements
- Promote safety and operational excellence at all times
What You’ll Need
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- Fit to work (able to obtain red ticket health clearance)
- Knowledge of safe practices & hazardous material handling
- A proactive, reliable, and independent work ethic
