💼 Remuneration:
- Grade 1: R174,261 per annum
- Grade 2: R203,271 per annum
- Grade 3: R239,559 per annum
🩺 Minimum Educational Qualification
An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
📝 Professional Registration
Must be registered with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
💼 Experience Required
- Grade 1: No experience required
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of appropriate/recognizable experience after registration with SANC
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of appropriate/recognizable experience after registration with SANC
📌 Inherent Job Requirements
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, after-hours, and night duty
- Flexibility to rotate between wards and departments as required
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
✅ Core Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation:
- Mental Health Care Act
- Child Care Act
- Nursing Act
- Experience in Community Mental Health at a specialized hospital level
🔧 Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide elementary clinical nursing care
- Ensure effective utilization of physical and financial resources
- Uphold professional ethics, continuous learning, and personal development
