About the Role
FlySafair is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Assistant to support our logistics operations in Johannesburg. This role is essential to ensuring our inventory is accurately processed, securely stored, and efficiently moved across facilities while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer inventory and materials between locations.
- Prepare and package items for delivery, ensuring accurate labeling.
- Organize and store inventory systematically.
- Report damaged or missing stock to supervisors promptly.
- Stack and manage bulk items effectively.
- Maintain inventory records and processing logs.
- Participate in daily cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse.
- Support inventory control and quality assurance for audits.
- Carefully handle sensitive and fragile items.
- Operate warehouse tools and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to company standards, regulations, and safety policies.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and collaborate with the Inventory Clerk to resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Certifications (Advantageous):
- Warehouse Training
- Dangerous Goods Handling
- Aircraft Spares Packing
- Experience: 1–2 years in warehouse administration (Essential)
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of warehousing standards and ERP systems (ERP advantageous)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask under pressure
