Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for fixing things?
CCBSA is looking for a dedicated and experienced Handyman to join our Midrand site team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of building infrastructure.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and general maintenance on site equipment and buildings
- Use hand and power tools for repairs (plumbing, painting, carpentry, tiling, etc.)
- Maintain ablution facilities and repair building structures (roofs, doors, floors)
- Assemble machinery, equipment, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and fix defects in a proactive and efficient manner
✅ Skills & Competencies:
- Solid experience in equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Proficient in plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and general building upkeep
- Strong active listening, critical thinking, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently with good understanding of safety and tool selection
📚 Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade qualification in plumbing, carpentry, painting, or building (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in construction or facility maintenance
- Comfortable working with tools and without supervision
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in oral English communication
