Location: Pilane Mall, Kgatleng, Botswana

Purpose of the Role:

To drive sales through excellent customer interaction, accurate quoting (including building plan costing), and maintaining merchandising and housekeeping standards. This role also ensures efficient deliveries and superior customer service.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 plus 5 years of relevant experience OR 10 years of work-related experience without Grade 12
  • Experience in reading building plans is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English and the dominant local language
  • Strong numerical and computer lite
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong planning, organizing, and delegation skills

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Quoting:

  • Generate sales through accurate and timely quotations
  • Handle and control Special Orders
  • Interpret building plans and provide quotations accordingly
  • Conduct competitive analysis and promote loyalty programs (VIC, Charge Cards)
  • Maintain communication with customers, especially for bulk deposits

2. Deliveries:

  • Oversee delivery logistics and pricing
  • Ensure timely dispatch and proactive customer communication on delays

3. Customer Service:

  • Manage the Customer Service Desk effectively
  • Record and resolve customer complaints
  • Ensure all customer interactions are professional and prompt
  • Demonstrate strong telephone etiquette

4. Store Standards:

  • Implement Ready for Business checklists and planograms
  • Monitor accurate pricing and product displays
  • Coordinate with team (General Assistants, Sales Advisors, Forklift Drivers) to maintain standards

5. People Management:

  • Ensure adequate staffing in customer-facing areas
  • Maintain backup staffing for all roles
  • Guide team on daily responsibilities and readiness

6. Safety & Security:

  • Enforce Occupational Health & Safety standards
  • Ensure team wears PPE and operates equipment safely
  • Stay alert to suspicious activities or individuals
  • Maintain password and data security protocols
