JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Transport Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for driving government vehicles and ensuring their proper care, maintenance, and safety.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and maintain Government vehicles in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logbooks.
  • Ensure cleanliness of assigned Government vehicles.
  • Inform the Transport Officer of upcoming vehicle service due dates.
  • Promptly report any vehicle damage, missing parts, or other related incidents.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of COSC/LGCSE certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least five (5) years of proven driving experience.
  • Certificate of competence to drive Government vehicles, issued by the Traffic Department, with a clean, accident-free record.
  • Ability to drive in all areas of Lesotho and neighboring countries.

  • G.P. 104 for serving officers

  • Certified copies of educational certificates
  • A certified copy of a valid ID
  • An up-to-date and duly completed performance appraisal form
  • A copy of the confirmation letter (for serving officers)
