Job Overview
Sethren Holdings is looking for four (4) experienced Coal Wash Plant Operators to join our dynamic operations team in Mookane. If you have a solid background in coal processing and are passionate about plant performance, safety, and efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor coal washing equipment (e.g., screens, cyclones, thickeners, centrifuges, flotation units).
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Track plant performance and optimize operations to meet quality and output targets.
- Accurately log operational data and report downtime events.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Collaborate with maintenance and technical staff to improve plant reliability.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in ongoing plant improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a coal wash plant or similar mining/processing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of coal processing systems and wash plant operations.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges quickly.
- Physically fit and able to work shift schedules in a plant setting.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mineral Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Valid plant operating certifications.
