📝 Reporting To: Fleet Manager | Department: Plant and Engineering (Trading Services)
Purpose of the Role:
Ensure the safe and competent operation of Cleansing Solid Waste (CSW) vehicles by training, testing, and evaluating drivers, while maintaining compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and refresh drivers on CSW vehicles, compaction units, and trailers.
- Maintain up-to-date driver performance reports and ensure adherence to the Road Traffic Act.
- Verify and monitor valid licenses and Professional Driving Permits (PrDPs).
- Identify and report high-risk drivers to management.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalent
- Valid Assessor Training Certificate
- Code EC driver’s license + valid PrDP
- 3 years’ experience training drivers of heavy-duty vehicles
- Computer literacy
Preferred:
- Diploma (NQF 6) in Training & Development or related
- 4 years’ experience as a heavy-duty vehicle instructor
