Are you a skilled driver with a passion for logistics and operational excellence? Qatar Airways is looking for a Heavy Duty Driver to play a vital role in the transportation and customs clearance of air cargo and local purchases for our In-flight Catering operations.
In this role, you will ensure that every delivery is made safely, timely, and in full compliance with food safety and road safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Transport consignments between cargo and catering facilities using heavy-duty vehicles.
- Assist in customs clearance and smooth cargo movement operations.
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and maintain roadworthiness standards.
- Source, purchase, and deliver ad hoc food and non-food items on a cash basis from various outlets.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are met during transport and handling.
- Verify product quality, quantity, and expiry dates before procurement.
- Manage cash responsibly and maintain clear purchase documentation.
- Perform additional departmental duties as directed by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- High School Qualification with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR
- Bachelorâs Degree with no prior experience required.
- Essential Skills:
- Good spoken and written English
- Clean and valid heavy-duty driverâs license
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Solid driving and coordination skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
