📝 Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- ✅ Be a South African citizen
- ✅ Possess a valid Senior Certificate (Grade 12/NQF Level 4)
- ✅ Be domiciled in Johannesburg (proof of residence required)
- ✅ Have no criminal record (vetting and biometric screening apply)
- ✅ Hold a valid Code B Driver’s License (No learners’ licenses accepted)
- ✅ Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- ✅ Be physically and mentally fit (submit a comprehensive medical certificate)
- ✅ Successfully complete a pre-training fitness assessment
- ✅ Be proficient in English
- ✅ Have no civil judgments for fraud or corruption
- ✅ Be willing to carry a firearm and wear a uniform

📚 Training Details
- 📅 Duration: 18 months
- 💰 Remuneration: Stipend provided

- 📝 Contract: Trainees will sign a training contract and must comply with academy rules and RTMC training policy.
🎖️ Post-Training Appointment
Upon successful completion, candidates may be appointed as Metropolitan Police Officers, take an Oath of Office, and be deployed anywhere within the City of Johannesburg.
